Complimentary Recorded Storm Water Awareness Week Workshop with Dr. K
September 27, 2022
Compost and Storm Water Management Best Practices are critical to have implemented before the heavy rains. Watch the recorded workshop below and learn how to do it.
Every year a series of workshops are hosted by the people at Storm Water Awareness Week to help educate businesses, municipalities, and the general public on the best practices to manage storm water. I hosted the workshop this year on how Compost-based Best Management Practices help California cities meet their organics diversion requirements. Compost is an amazing resource that is very useful to help surfaces absorb rainfall and also prevent erosion. Read on to learn some interesting facts and the topics to be discussed.
Join me to learn how diverted organics can be used in compost applications for excellent sediment and erosion control while also meeting local organic compliance requirements (SB1383).
Topics discussed are:
Compost-based Best Management Practices (BMP’s)
Organic Diversion
Carbon Sequestration
Increased Storm Water Capture
Compliance Requirements
Ecosystem Benefits
