Our Process

We take pride in crafting the best, premium grade compost and mulch products in San Diego County. Our process includes proprietary recipes and strict management. We start with locally-sourced clean feedstocks. Turning the piles on a regular basis helps to aerate them and we add moisture as needed to get the temperatures up to cook the products to perfection.

We craft compost with manure from our sister operation, the Frank Konyn Dairy!

All of San Pasqual Valley Soils’ composts are are processed in strict accordance with state regulations, including a PFRP (Process to Further Reduce Pathogens) phase, ensuring both pathogens and weed seeds are destroyed. Learn about the benefits of cow manure, the Frank Konyn Dairy Connection and how we got started.
