1383 HELP
Procurement and Compliance Services and Resources

Get help with compliance!
San Pasqual Valley Soils has already moved and spread more than 30,000 cubic yards of 1383-compliant compost and mulch for San Diego County jurisdictions! That’s more than most jurisdictions in the county are required to procure annually. How’s your city doing? If you’re struggling to meet procurement targets, we have a wide array of services to help.
SPV Soils’ 1383 Dairy Farm Support Program
An incredible value!
The Dairy Support Program is a great option to help you meet your goals!
Forage Soil is a special blend of compost formulated to enhance farmland in the San Pasqual Valley Agricultural Preserve and grow crops for the last remaining dairy in San Diego County. This product is available for onsite land application only and jurisdictions pay just $10/cubic yard for the material and spreading with savings on product cost, delivery and application. That’s only $14.50 per fully burdened SB 1383 ton credit.
With management of more than 700 acres of farm and ranchland in San Diego County, we have this in-house farming capacity to improve soil and the local watershed with compost while helping your jurisdiction meet 1383 procurement goals.

SB 1383 Compliant Products

SPV Soils is the only supplier in Southern California that produces nine SB 1383-compliant products. That includes four composts and five mulches, sure to meet your application requirements. We also have the only OMRI-listed compost, and our products are United States Composting Council (USCC) Seal of Testing Assurance (STA) approved. We can help you decide which product would work best for your projects within your jurisdiction.

Delivery and Spreading

We also offer reasonably-priced delivery and spreading services throughout Southern California. With management of 700 acres of farm and ranchland in San Diego County, we have in-house capacity to improve soil and watersheds with compost while helping your jurisdiction meet 1383 procurement goals.
No other company in Southern California has this suite of resources available to regional jurisdictions.
Stormwater Management and BMPs
We can help your jurisdiction realize compost and mulch procurement credits while economically managing stormwater around roadways, parks, city centers, and waterways using nature-based Best Management Practices. We have an amazing amount of experience, tools and resources available to help you easily implement solutions for creating green infrastructure, stormwater management, erosion control, sediment control, and remediation.
Our very own Dr. K is a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control. He has provided training for cities and jurisdictions throughout the state off California for years and he gives an annual presentation for Storm Water Awareness Week on BMPs.
